Dump truck dispatch software for small and mid-size fleets

Build the day’s jobs, send each driver their own, and let check-in and checkout record what actually happened — so the hours you bill and the hours you pay come from the same place.

Who it's for

Built for the fleet that still runs on texts and paper tickets.

Most dump trucking companies with five to forty trucks dispatch the same way: a few phone calls at 6am, a group text with the day's sites, and a pile of paper tickets that turns into a spreadsheet on Friday night. It works, right up until a driver misses a change, a ticket goes missing, or you lose an afternoon reconciling hours nobody wrote down.

Strmlne FLT replaces that with one system. You build the day's jobs, each driver gets their own, and every start and finish is recorded as it happens — so by the end of the week the hours and loads are already counted.

It is not an enterprise TMS. There is nothing to install on a server, no implementation project, and no need for someone in the office whose job is the software.

How dispatch works

One job, start to invoice.

Every job follows the same five steps, whether you are moving gravel across town or running a week on one site.

Create the job

Pick the truck, the driver, the site and the time. A few taps, from your desk or your phone.

The driver is notified

FLT sends the job to the driver automatically by SMS or WhatsApp, with everything they need to start.

Check-in

The driver checks in from their phone when the job starts. Time and location are recorded automatically — no one has to remember it later.

Checkout

They check out when the job is done. That closes the job and feeds the day’s timesheet.

Invoice and pay

The job is logged with real times and loads, so what you bill the customer and what you pay the driver come from the same record.

Or just ask FLT Assist

Tell it “move Truck 14 to 2pm and notify the driver” in plain language and it does the steps for you.

Pay models

By the hour, or by the load.

Dump trucking is one of the few industries where two trucks in the same yard can be paid two different ways on the same day. FLT handles both, because the dispatch record carries the information each one needs.

Hourly work

Check-in and checkout give you the real clock — start, finish, and where the truck was. Hours roll up per driver, per day, with nothing retyped from a paper ticket. This is the usual arrangement on site work, where the truck is on the clock whether it is loaded or waiting.

Per load and ton-mile

When the job pays by what moved rather than by the clock, the loads are counted against the job as it runs, so the rate applies to a number you can trace back to a specific truck on a specific day.

The practical benefit is the same either way: the number you pay your driver and the number you bill your customer both come out of the dispatch record, so they agree — and when one is questioned you can show where it came from.

More on the payroll side: driver timesheets and payroll.

Questions

Straight answers.

What does Strmlne FLT actually replace?

The morning phone calls, the group text with the day's sites, the paper tickets, and the spreadsheet you build from them on Friday. Jobs are dispatched in FLT, drivers check in and out from their phones, and the timesheet is assembled from those records instead of from memory.

Do my drivers have to learn new software?

Not really. The job arrives as an SMS or WhatsApp message, and checking in and out is a tap on their phone. There is no dispatch screen for a driver to learn.

Can FLT handle hourly and per-load pay at the same time?

Yes. Some jobs pay by the hour and some pay by the load or ton-mile, and FLT carries both on the dispatch record, so each driver's pay is calculated the way that job actually works.

How small is too small?

FLT is built for small and mid-size fleets, so a handful of trucks is a normal starting point. The question worth asking is not how many trucks you run but how many hours a week you spend chasing hours and tickets.

Can I see it before I talk to anyone?

Yes. There is a live demo you can open right now at demo1.flt.apps.strmlne.cloud, or call (437) 533-7793 and we will walk you through it.
