Software for nurse staffing agencies

Your nurses and care staff, their shifts, their hours and your invoices in one system — built for small and medium agencies without an IT team.

Who it’s for

Built for agencies that are too busy for a big software project.

A growing nurse staffing agency tends to run on a few tools that were never meant to work together: a spreadsheet for staff, another for the schedule, a phone full of messages, a folder of timesheets, and an invoice built by hand at the end of the period.

Each one works on its own. The cost shows up in the gaps, when the same shift gets typed in three times and the three versions don’t agree.

FLT for agencies follows one shift from the schedule to the invoice. It’s built by Strmlne Systems Inc., a Canadian company founded in 2024, for agencies that need scheduling, timesheets and invoicing to work together.

What you get

Everything in one system.

Two views of the same shift: what your staff do on their phones, and what you see in the office.

Workforce management

Keep your nurses and care staff in one place and see who’s available. More on scheduling.

Shift scheduling

Create a shift, assign it in a few taps, and watch it move in real time.

Shift notices

Staff are told by SMS or WhatsApp, with everything they need for the shift.

Timesheets

Check-ins and checkouts build daily timesheets, ready for payroll. More on timesheets.

Client invoicing

What you bill a facility and what you pay your staff come from the same record. More on invoicing.

FLT Assist

Ask it to move a shift, pull a nurse’s timesheet, or find who’s available, in plain language.

Choosing software

What to look for in nurse staffing software.

Most agencies start looking when the spreadsheet has become someone’s full-time job. These are the questions worth asking of any system, including ours.

Will your staff actually use it?

Nurses coming off a long shift won’t fill in a form at the end of the week. The system should work from a phone and ask as little as possible. In FLT, checking in and out is the timesheet.

Does one shift flow all the way through?

If the schedule, the timesheet and the invoice are separate tools, someone is still copying numbers between them. Ask to follow a single shift from start to finish in a demo.

Can you run it without an IT team?

A small agency needs something a coordinator can run from day one, and a partner who picks up the phone. We’d rather stay close as you grow than hand you a manual.

Questions

Straight answers.

What kinds of agencies is FLT for agencies built for?

Small and medium healthcare staffing agencies, including agencies placing nurses and care staff with the facilities they serve.

What does it cover?

Managing your workforce, scheduling shifts, building timesheets and invoicing the facilities you staff, with FLT Assist to handle requests in plain language.

Do my nurses need to fill in timesheets?

No. They check in from their phone when a shift starts and check out when it ends, and timesheets generate daily from those records.

Is this the same product as FLT for truckers?

It is the same product underneath, built for staffing agencies, so it covers workforce, shifts, timesheets and invoices without the trucking garage.
